“Oswaldo Vigas. Anthological 1943-2013” in Brasil

On April 2nd, took place the opening of the exhibition "Oswaldo Vigas Anthological 1943-2013” in the spaces of the Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Universidade de São Paulo in Brazil. This exhibition can be enjoyed until July 13th.
A roomful was the opening of the exhibition "Oswaldo Vigas Anthological 1943-2013" at the Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil.
The exhibition, which consists of 63 paintings and five sculptures representing a major selection of the work of the Venezuelan artist from his beginnings until 2013 will be presented in the carioca city until July 3rd this year. This exhibition is part of the present tour that the Master's work is making throughout several countries of the continent; the tour started at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lima, Peru, then occupied the spaces of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Santiago, Chile, and from then went to the Museo de Arte Moderno in Bogotá.
This time the curatorial team of the exhibition is made up by the writer, historian and former director of the Art Museum of the Americas, Bélgica Rodríguez, along with guest curator Katja Weitering, who currently serves as artistic director of the Museum of Modern Art CoBrA in the metropolitan region of Amsterdam; Imre Kis-Jovak, member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) and the International Committee of Technical Museum (ICAMT), will be in charge of the design of the exhibition. After finishing its presence in Brazil, the exhibition will continue its tour to Panama City, Mexico City and some US cities.
